For all users, we collect your email.
For solicitor users, we collect the particulars of your brief requests as per the forms on our Site. We recommend that solicitor users do not include any sensitive information in the brief request and only include publicly known information - such as proceeding names, hearing dates and so on. We recommend that solicitor users obfuscate any non-public information by using a pseudonym or internal reference number - for example, if a proceeding has not yet commenced, a solicitor may wish to use a pseudonym rather than stating the names of the parties as the reference/request ID in the brief request.
For barrister users, we collect the particulars of your professional profile as per the forms on our Site. All such information collected is assumed to be public information.
In relation to the data we collect, we only collect such data necessary to match barristers to brief requests submitted by solicitors. We do not collect any other data.
We do not share any data with third parties except where compelled by law. We have attempted to address the latter in our terms and conditions.
When a brief is matched, the email addresses of the matched users are shared with each other. Such is required so that the users can then contact each other and agree upon retainer terms, obtaining monies on trust and so on. We do not get involved in these processes.
